Cleaning Plants
Plants are often forgotten, and rarely cleaned by their owners. However just like everything else in your house, plants do indeed collect dust. Plants that are in kitchens are especially at risk and may require extra attention. Grease and grime from your cooking may splash on to plant leaves and cause damage. This is also a tasty treat for small bugs, and could prove potentially dangerous to your plant's leaves. You can buy several products that clean plants. These products claim that all you have to do is spray them on the plant. However, while this may be true, it may also harm the plant. Most of these products will coat the plant's leaves with a waxy substance. This will restrict air flow to the plant, which is vital to its survival. If your plant has simple leaves with no hair on it, cleaning can be easy and free. You can take a wet rag and wipe the lower and upper part of the leave. Alternatively, you can just put the whole thing in the shower for a minute with warm but not hot water. Make sure to drain excess water in the pot, as plants can and will drowned. If you have a plant with hair on the leaves or a cactus, you require a different method of cleaning. Simply take the plant outside and spray it with canned air. Canned air is meant for electronics and can be bought at any local electronics or office store.
